We’ve moved!!

Incase you haven’t noticed, it’s been quite dead around here the past little while. (Okay, a long while…) The reason for this is because I found myself feeling uninspired by my blog; it simply wasn’t me anymore. So I decided to rebrand! If you still want to follow me, please head on over to my new blog Teacups & Things! Miss Kait Online will remain up for a while until I move over some worthy posts, and to redirect people. But this is the last update you’ll see here so please bookmark the new blog and update your RSS feeds!

I realize I may loose some of you along the way, and that’s okay. It’s be swell and I appreciate you taking interest in my little corner on the web and do hope you will join me over at the new blog. See you there!!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day today with friends and family. Last night we played some games and watched a few christmas movies. Today we’re trying to brave the weather to go to my aunt’s for a festive feast after a a Christmas brunch & presents.

For those of you that are still being affected by the ice storm, I really am wishing for a Christmas miracle for you & that everything is back to normal asap.

Merry Christmas!

January 1st, 2013 | Holiday Train

Every year, there is this magical thing called the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. It’s basically a train with christmas lights that goes all around North America throughout November & December. There is a free Christmas Concert at each stop and they also make a donation to the community’s food bank of every stop they make. There’s also collection stations at each stop where they collect non-perishable and dotations from the crowd as well. It’s sort of become a tradition for my dad an I to go every year.

The lights certainly make for pretty photos, so I thought I’d share a few. I can’t take credit for these ones though my dad took them. What are some of your Holiday traditions!? Happy Holidays everyone :)

June 9th, 2012 | Things that remind me of summer: Tea Sangria

One of my favourite parts about summer is a glass (or a pitcher ;D) of ice cold sangria on the patio. Last Sunday Beth & Di came over for some yummies and girlie movies. We made a red sangria using Cupcake Vineyard’s Red Merlot, DavidsTea’s pink flamingo, fresh fruit and orange rum.  Yum yum yum!

Incase you’re curious, here’s the recipe for how I made it:

Tea Infused Sangria

Ingredients

• 5-8 tsp tea (I used Pink Flamingo from Davids) steeped in 2c water
• 1 bottle red wine
• loads of fresh fruit & ice cubes
• 1/2 c orange rum or tripple sec
• 1/3c club soda to add some fizz

Method

1. Steep your tea, combine, stir and enjoy!

Tea infused sangria just might be my new favourite thing! It adds some really interesting flavour. I think I’m going to try to make a white wine sangria with swampwater from DavidsTea next, or just some with a traditional orange pekoe.
