So here’s another small project I was busy with a few weeks ago. Kaitlyn from isavirtue asked me to write a lesson for her new e-course! I was so honored :). The course is all about art and different ways you can make it involved in your every day life! I wrote a lesson about typography for the course. There are graphic design, painting, sewing, cooking, photography, and crafting related lessons. Registration is now open!! Click here for more info!

It’s kinda like a concert tour, except it’s only for sketchbooks instead.
Today I signed up for The Sketchbook Project. It’s kind of amazing really.
What is it? Thousands of sketchbooks are exhibited at galleries and museums across America, and you can sign up to participate even if you are not from the US. It only costs $25 to participate, and you can either pick your own theme (from a provided list) or choose to be assigned one randomly to use as a starting point. You’ll then be sent a blank Moleskine sketchbook to fill up over several months. Every book is given a barcode so that you can track your book on tour, how many times its viewed, and find it once the tour is over in the Brooklyn Art Library. There are only three rules. First, you must complete the book. Second, the book has to stay within its original dimensions. Finally, the package must be postmarked for return on January 15th, 2011. I can’t wait to receive mine and get started!
