Going green is big these days, its no surprise that post-secondary education is starting to focus more on the matter. The Art Institute of Vancouver recently launched a new program focusing on the matter. Its a graphic design program that is centered around sustainability, the first one of its kind. The program is 3 years, and was just granted approval this April. The First batch of students are about to start classes this May.
The faculty development director, Sunita Wiebe, stated that the program is trying to address the growing need for “designers who can provide solutions while creating sustainable, eco-conscious designs.” (more…)

Just when you thought that Zoya’s products couldn’t get any greener! (Okay, I admit it.. this is going to be a girly moment.) For those of you who may not know who, or what, Zoya is, it’s a long lasting vegan nail polish. (Still don’t know what that means? Basically its rid of all those evil toxins that are in regular polishes, its all natural baby! And, its safe for use even if your pregnant!) I love, love, love their products, they’re eco-friendly and affordable.
Anyways! In spirit of Earth day, if you’re a US resident they have a really sweat deal that ends on June 30th. All you have to do is send 6 bottles (or more) of your old, toxic nail polish that you don’t like or use any more and they will dispose of them properly in a hazardous waste facility. (Bet you didn’t know you couldn’t just throw that stuff out!) In return, they will send you the same amount of bottles of their eco-friendly polishes in in whatever colours you’d like, and the only thing you have to pay for is the $3.50 shipping/handling charge. Its a great deal, and its less than half the amount of the regular price of a bottle!

Do you collect weird things, like… your old ticket stubs? Okay, then you’ll definitely find this neat! If you’re anything like me, and save all of your (or some) of your ticket stubs from concerts, plays, or even movies then I’m sure you’ll find this amazing and handy. Introducing, the Ticket Stub Diary!! It has clear plastic sleeves like a photo album for your tickets, and even a spot beside them to write about the ticket or event. I thought this was really cute and handy… I throw all my concert tickets into a box so it’s a pain when I want to look at them. You can find the ticket stub diary here.

Welcome to my blog. Wondering what it’s all about? A little bit of everything!!
Okay, okay… everything might be a bit broad… so I’ll try to be a bit more speficic about what “everything” is. You’ll find posts about anything that interests or inspires me – design, art, typography, photography, products, eco-friendly things, DIY, adventures, music, and yes, perhaps even something about the kitchen sink.
