I just love this dress. I wish I got some better photos of it theses don’t do it justice, the sun was really bright that day so it was a little difficult to shoot with just me and a tripod. It’s made from a great light-weight silky fabric. I love how I’ll easily will be able to carry it into the fall. I’m sure you’ll see this dress making an appearance quite frequently around the blog. I love the peter pan colar and the keyhole back. Such wonderful simple details.
This was my first time I’ve ever gotten anything from Sugarlips, and I would recommend them. Just be sure to check your measurements carefully, as I find their sizes a little smaller that others (similar to H&M) so you may want to size up depending on the item. Their items are tailored really nicely. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Welp, I’ve been eating mushy food all week because of my accident. At first, I couldn’t really open my mouth. And now while I can do this, I still can’t chew because my teeth are still really soar and tender. Mashed potatoes, rice pudding, squash, canned tuna, smoothies, apple sauce, you name it. This has been a miracle worker in my mush-diet which would often leave me feeling hungrier than before. It’s been a favourite recipe for a long time and is usually a part of my morning routines I’ve been meaning to share it for months now.
This is such a great recipe to wake you up and energize you for your day. Matcha green tea is so heathy for you. One glass is equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of antioxidant content and nutritional value. It’s a cancer fighting, fat burning and metabolism enhancing machine loaded with vitamin C, Chromium, Zinc, and Magnesium. It will also help your body fight against any viruses and bacterias and lowers cholesterol and blood sugar. It’s also known to enhance moods and aid in concentration and alertness.
Matcha Mango Pineapple Smoothie
• 1.25 tsp matcha green tea (I use DavidsTea’s Matcha Matsu)
• 1 scoop protein powder
• some honey
• 1 c frozen mango chunks
• 1 tbsp pineapple juice
• 1 c pineapple
• 1/2 to 1 c water (depending on how thick you like your smoothies)
1. If you’re using fresh fruit, chop it all up then toss it all in a blender! Done!
Easy peasy, right?!

Welp. I had a bunch of recipes I wanted to try out and share, as well as some new outfits. And then I kinda broke my face. So I’ve been in bed all week. Last Wed I fainted at work and landed face first into a metal stand, a plastic box, then the floor and ended up in emergency for the day. Classy. So I’ve been eating mushy food all week and have been dopped up pain killers.
I’ve started to plan out all the rooms I want to re-decorate though, so I thought I’d share some of that. I planned out my bedroom a little while ago and have started making some things for it so here’s some of my inspiration that.
I’ve bought all the stuff to make a dream catcher, but I read that it’s actually bad luck to make yourself or buy yourself a pre made one. You should receive it as a gift, or have some one make it for you. So I’m forcing my crafty friends to make it hahaa. I got a wood K from Michaels for under a dollar, and I’m just going to stain it a little darker. I’ve been collecting frames from Value Village and repainting them. I’m also planning to make some textile heavy pillow covers.
Beth made a really cool skull and antlers out of masking tape and wire, so I want to make some of them too. Though I’m sure hers is going to put mine to shame. I have loads of work to do (including actually repainting my room) but I’m getting really excited. I hope to have it finished by the end of Sept.

Oh my, it’s been a while! (Over a month?! It doesn’t feel like that at all.) I’ve just been so busy with work and life and well, I’ll be honest… enjoying my summer. (Who the heck said summer was relaxing?) It was a nice break, but I can’t wait to get back to blogging regularly.
I also have to admit I’m totally ready for fall. I’m sorry all you beach bums, but its true. I’m sick of summer fashion & am ready to bust out some blazers, cardis and start layering again. (Honestly its just so hard to look cute in this heat so I’ve stopped putting any effort into what I’m wearing lately.) I suppose if I was a student still though I wouldn’t be so eager ;).
Another change I’m looking forward to is some home renos. I’ve decided to not only renovate my bathroom but redo my bedroom as well this year. I already have them both all planned out and have started collecting stuff for that. That’s something I’m hopping to blog about as well once the project gets a little more underway.
Speaking of changes if you’re viewing this outside of your reader client you’ll notice that I gave the blog a facelift… yet again. I wanted something that was a little cleaner and more focused on the content. I’m still working out some kinks though, so if you notice somethings off feel free to give me a shout. (And yes, I’m aware I’m totally being ‘trendy’ with this one. I dont care, I’m loving the monochromatic & texture trend in the design world right now.)
