April 6th, 2012 | Peeps & Eggs

Happy Easter everyone! I took advantage of having the day off to sleep in and get some serious spring cleaning done. 5  garbage bags later my closet is rid off old clothes, things that don’t fit, and holey socks. I also made this cute easter arrangement after spending what seemed like an eternity of blowing out 30+ eggs and dying them. Tonight I’m going to enjoy a movie with the family and peep s’moores.

Still on the to-do list for this weekend; a thorough clean of my room, make some yummy Easter snacks for my family’s Easter dinner, make a pile of all my pants/dresses/skirts that need to be hemmed and some quality family time. I hope you are all enjoying your long wekend so far! Are you guys doing anything exiting this weekend?

March 19th, 2012 | spring fever: march so far

My oh my, it has been a while since I have done a real update! The weather here has been absolutely amaazing lately and it’s kind of given me a bit of spring fever & I’ve kinda been taking on more than I can chew.

Some highlights from my busy month so far includes going to Toronto for Fashion Week (I’ll post more on that later) and finally getting to go to Nadege – a pastry shop on Queen West in Toronto.

Also if you follow me on twitter you know that I have been in the market for a new sewing machine… well I finally bought one. Say hello to my new baby & some photos from March so far.

The ever so sweet Melanie (Who I had the pleasure of working with for a short time before she moved to Alberta) sent me a little surprise package to thank me for helping her with her blog design. I got spoiled. And I have to say I’m in love with this book! I encourage all of you ladies to check it out. Don’t forget to check out Mel too!

How has March been for all of you so far?!

June 29th, 2011 | Father’s Day 2011: Hamilton Air Show

Hahah I wasn’t kidding when I said we’re a family of photographers. We all had camera’s strapped around our necks (mine was obv taking this photo)

For Father’s day, we did the same thing we have done every year as far back as I can remember… go to the Air Show!!! I grew up going to them, and I love them! This year, we went to the Hamilton Air Show. It was it’s first time running in 10 years and was the one we went to most as kids. It made it a little more special because this was the one that we always went to as children with my dad. Amongst our favourite, as always, they had the Lancaster and Spitfire flying. Pictures!!

WWI Planes

I loveee the pin-up artwork on some of the planes. The “Memphis Belle” was the one that was used in the actual movie (The real one is still undergoing restoration) You can learn more about the Memphis Belle here, it’s really interesting!

The planes above are the North American Harvards, Douglas AD-4 Skyraider, Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress (Memphis Belle) and the North American B-25J Mitchell (Hot Gen)

The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association & Aerobatic Team

Nanchang CJ-6A, Flown by Daniel Fortin. This guy was crazy! So many cool tricks!
Hope everyone had a great Father’s Day!! & also….
